If the new Kings arena is built in downtown Sacramento, the Macy’s will be a crown jewel in the team’s new castle.

“We’re here, we’re here to stay. We love being part of this community,” said Heather Stallion, Macy’s Downtown Manager.

There will be some changes to how you shop at Macy’s, though. We are told the store is giving up their lease of the building that currently houses the men’s clothing and furniture departments.

Those items will be moved into the other Macy’s building they own — located on the corner of L and 4th streets.

“We do have a little remodeling going on, you will find us all together and you will notice new carpet new paint,” said Heather Stallion.

The move is expected to take place in October, just in time to celebrate a big anniversary.

“Celebrating our 50th anniversary in downtown plaza,” said Stallion.
