Sacramento County District Attorney Jan Scully announced Friday that her office will reviews of officer-involved shooting cases will resume.

Amid budget cuts in 2011, the DA’s office had to stop regular reviews of such cases. The only officer-involved shooting cases reviewed after that were on a special request or labeled “sensitive.”

Now, resources in Scully’s office have “stabilized” to a point where reviews can resume, according to a news release.
