Dozens Evacuated When Apartment Unit Goes Up in Flames FOLSOM –

Dozens were evacuated when part of their apartment went up in flames early Friday morning in Folsom.

The fire started around 4 a.m. on South Lexington Drive near East Bidwell Street and Oak Avenue Parkway.

The fire started in a bedroom on the apartment’s second floor and was contained to that unit.

The resident and their dog were uninjured.

Parts of the first floor of the apartment had water damage, caused by the sprinklers in the apartment going off and firefighters watering down the fire.

People were let back in around 5:30 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
