The body of a baby has been found in a Roseville Park Monday morning.

The city says parks and recreation crews were working in Saugstad Park along Buljan Drive before 8 a.m. when they found the remains in the bushes near the bike trail.

Police are just starting their investigation and do not know how the baby died, or why it was left in the bushes at the park.

They did say the baby, who was full-term, was wrapped in bags and placed into a diaper box.

Anyone with information about who may have left the child in the park, or know anyone who was pregnant and is no longer pregnant and does not have a child, please contact the Roseville Police Department  at (916) 774-5070.

Under California’s Safe Surrender Baby Law, parents can confidentially surrender an infant, three days old or younger, to any designated facility, usually a fire station.

For the love of all that is Holy! There are so many options for a parent in distress! Too many young people pregnant think they can handle it and in reality they are ill equipped as they are children themselves! Rest in peace little one, I hope you did not suffer!
