Deputies are calling an incident where they found two adults bleeding in their West Point home late Tuesday morning a suspicious death.
Dispatchers got a call about two people found unconscious and bleeding at a home along Stanley Road, just off of Highway 26, around 11:25 a.m.
At the scene, a man was found dead. Another victim was also found unconscious.
Residents consider community of West Point, about 50 miles south east of Placerville, to be quiet and peaceful.
“I never lock up. I don’t lock my house until 11, 12 o’clock at night. Maybe I will tonight,” said Colleen Mose, 30-year resident.
Authorities are still investigating the murder, with murder-suicide being looked into.
