More than two dozen baby calves have been stolen from a dairy farm over the last two weeks.

Ten calves, just 1-month-old and weighing about 80 lbs. each, were missing from a farm in Turlock on July 1.

Then sometime in the early morning hours of Monday, another 16 baby calves, again all around 1-month-old, were taken from the same farm near August Road and Central Avenue.

In Monday’s incident, dairy workers noticed the calves’ hutches were out of place, and found one animal loose in the field.

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the thefts, asking anyone with information to contact them.

They have not released any sort of suspect information at this time.
