He’s no longer in jail, but Monday no one was at home at one listed address for 61-year-old Nicholas Bowen of Grizzly Flats. He’s one half of the accused park peep show team arrested by Davis Police on July 10.
Police say while fellow state employee Wenyi Xu exposed her naked body to kids in Community Park, Bowen took pictures and video.
Xu’s neighbors say she’s the mother of a young daughter and married – but not to Bowen.
Xu, a research analyst for the Department of Health Care Services, did not answer her desk phone Monday.
So could landing in jail jeopardize her job?
Norman Willams, spokesman for DHCS, could only say that in accordance with state law the agency “evaluates each case on its individual circumstances.”
A national search of court records found nothing that would have turned up on Xu, even if a background check was required for her position with the state.
Bowen’s job with the Department of Public Health didn’t require a background check either, but one would have revealed an “indecency with a child” conviction out of Texas.
When it comes to his arrest for capturing someone getting a little too natural in one of Davis’ nicest nature spots, spokesman Marvin Perera commented for his department.
“There is no policy that calls for termination from employment based upon arrest,” he said.
An employee at Community Park says they saw Xu and Bowen engaged in the bawdy behavior that got them arrested.
Cops cuffed them at the park.
