Southwest Airlines plane lands without front landing gear

(PIX11) – At least three people were injured in a scary landing at LaGuardia Monday evening when a Southwest plane’s nose landing gear collapsed.

Flight 345 arriving from Nashville was left tilting forward on the tarmac after the 5:45 p.m. landing on Runway 4. The airport is presently closed.

The FAA said in a statement that the crew reported possible front landing gear problems before the landing.
