Pups, kids and the Grace Foundation came together for the first annual Dog Camp 2013, which concluded Saturday in El Dorado Hills.

Together, twelve kids taught otherwise abandoned and mistreated dogs how to be socialized. In turn, more than 30 pups showed volunteer children a thing or two about responsibility.

“We can’t save them all, but we’ve made a difference,” said Beth DeCaprio, founder of the Grace Foundation.

As the two week camp can do an end Saturday, DeCaprio says the dogs are now ready to be adopted and invited in to a home.

“These dogs would have otherwise had no other options. Who knows if they would have been euthanized,” DeCaprio said.
