Firefighters Hindered by Extra Walls in West Sacramento Home

Firefighters had a hard time knocking down a house fire along Rogers Way in West Sacramento because extra walls inside the home.

The fire broke out around 6 a.m. Firefighters say there was some sort of construction in the garage, possibly an extra bedroom in the making.

It’s not clear if the addition was up to proper building codes.

The fire caused serious damage to the home, but no one was home at the time and no one was hurt.

Investigators are still figuring out the cause of the fire.
