Turlock Police say a man cut his ex’s throat and threatened to kill her Monday evening as the two met to exchange belongings.
Officers responded to Donnelly Park around 5:45 p.m. to find people holding down 52-year-old Dan Rigney. Investigators say Rigney had cut a woman’s throat with a knife and threatened to kill her.
The woman, said to be Rigney’s ex, had serious injuries but is expected to recover.
Officers arrested Rigney for attempted homicide, criminal threats and domestic battery.
Investigators say Rigney had met the woman to exchange their things after ending their relationship.
