Firefighters say two vacant apartments caught fire Thursday morning in Sacramento.

The apartments, reportedly known to be a hot spot for homeless activity, are near Stockton Boulevard and Baker Avenue.

One woman next door had to be woken up by firefighters, who said she was “deep asleep.”

Firefighters believe the blaze was human-caused, and are working out whether or not it was set intentionally and how it was set.
