The California Highway Patrol has activated an AMBER Alert for two children who were abducted over the weekend.

Hannah Anderson, 16, and Ethan Anderson, 8, were abducted from the city of Boulevard in San Diego County back on Saturday.

According to CHP, 40-year-old James Lee DiMaggio is a suspect in the children’s disappearance. DiMaggio is possibly driving a blue 2013 Nissan Versa sedan, with the California plate number 6WCU986.

Later Monday night, CHP upgraded the notification to a state-wide alert. Authorities believe that the suspect is headed towards either Texas or Canada.

Anyone with information on where the three may be is asked to call 911.
