AUBURN—

Police have released pictures of a person of interest after a string of late-night burglaries hit Auburn homes the past week.

Since July 25, there have been seven residential burglaries, according to a release from the Auburn Police Department. In each burglary, the suspect was able to get in through an open garage or an open door.

Most of the burglaries happened at night or early morning, while the victims were home.

In one of the burglaries, the suspect was able to open the garage door using a garage door opener he stole from the victim’s unlocked car.

Police have released pictures of a person of interest in the burglaries. The person of interest looks to have been driving a smaller model red sedan.

Anyone with information about the person of interest or the burglaries is asked to call Sergeant Gary Hopping at (530) 823-4237.
