How much water bubbling out of the street does it take to make you nervous?

Along Del Paso Boulevard, the droplet count is pretty low. After all, it was June 28, 2011 when an eight-inch water main burst and sent water gushing out of the ground, down the street and into stores. Business owners along Del Paso say just over two years later, the wet pavement has had water seeping out of it for weeks.

The City of Sacramento tells FOX40, while the water puddling and flowing out of Del Paso Boulevard looks apocalyptic, it’s not a water main on it’s last legs, but a leaking irrigation line from landscaping in the median. The irrigation has been shut off at the meter.

Business owners like Jay Roth of Box Brothers still remember 2011 and don’t want a repeat.

“The water basically came right up to our door step and that was it. Obviously if this goes, we’ll be right at the epicenter, ” Roth told FOX40.
