Two Davis residents were arrested Tuesday in connection to another string of burglaries and thefts within the city.
Officers showed up to the Tuscany Villas Apartment complex Tuesday and served a search warrant to one of the units. According to a released from the Davis Police Department, the search warrant resulted from a tip investigators got into a number of recent burglary and theft case.
At the apartment, drugs that looked to ready for sale, ammunition, an illegal high-capacity gun magazine and two guns were uncovered.
Vicente Herrera, 19, and Jessie Herrera, 35, were arrested and both face possession of marijuana for sale, felony child endangerment, conspiracy and multiple weapons possession charges. Jessie is apparently Vicente’s mother, police say.
The charge of child endangerment was added because three children, ranging in age from 6 to 16 were also found in the apartment.
Jessie faces a further charge of destruction of evidence, Davis Police note.
Last week, Davis Police arrested three men suspected of stealing bicycles. Back in late June, police also arrested three teens suspected in another string of burglaries in Davis.
