It is not something you would expect to see at a police department, but in Yuba City, bomb squad detectives and firefighters were on high alert this morning.

Police say a 40 to 50 year old woman walked into the front lobby, dropped off a large suitcase and left the building.

“I got here about 8:15 this morning and the end of our complex was blocked off with cones and the bomb squad was across the street. I didn’t know what was going on,” said Michelle Lundberg, Sutter County Resident

Part of Poole Boulevard was shut down for five hours as the Yolo County bomb squad investigated the suspicious package.

Police did not comment on what was going inside the suitcase.

Police are hoping the woman who left it would come forward. They did not further comment on whether the woman is facing any criminal charges.
