Fire Burns Two Homes in Del Paso Neighborhood

Sacramento City Fire crews responded to a call off of El Monte Avenue in the Del Paso neighborhood of Sacramento at around 6 a.m. on Sunday.

“My neighbors house was totally burned. Then, my bedroom caught fire. My neighbor said he fell asleep with a cigarette in his hand,” Attelia Roejel told FOX40.

However, the fire department confirmed the cause of the fire was still under investigation.

Roejel’s bedroom had minor damage including a broken window, melted blinds, and a damaged television.

There were no injuries reported.
