Stockton Police say a man tried to attack officers Sunday evening as they responded to a domestic disturbance call.
Officers showed up to an apartment along North California Street, where a security guard at the complex confirmed a man was beating a woman, investigators say.
Police say the man became “combative” toward officers as they entered the apartment. The man tried to punch an officer but was wrestled to the ground and put in handcuffs, according to Stockton Police’s daily activity log.
The man continued to be difficult as he was taken to a patrol car, trying to struggle with and kick officers, police say. He was put into a “SAFEWRAP” restraint and taken away.
Tywan Alexander, 20, was booked into jail for resisting arrest and battery on an officer.
