A killing in the middle of the day at a park close to a school is sparking change in the Sacramento County neighborhood of Caymus Park.

About 50 people met at the elementary school closest to Caymus Park to talk about how to make their community safer.

Two people have been arrested in Lugo’s murder and investigators say none of them lived in the area, but families are working to start a neighborhood watch and re-start their neighborhood association anyway.

While Lugo’s family maintains he had no drug connections, investigators say the killing was a marijuana rip-off gone wrong.
