The Stockton Record’s website Wednesday morning.

Stockton’s long-running newspaper, The Record, has new ownership.

The paper was officially sold to an affiliate of New York’s Fortress Investment Group LLC, the paper reported Wednesday morning.

The Record is one of 33 publications that belong to the Dow Jones Local Media Group, which was just sold by the News Corp. Of those 33 publications, there are eight daily papers and 15 weekly papers.

The financial terms of the deal were not made public, The Record reported.

There will reportedly no change in staffing at The Record and only 10 corporate-level positions will be affected.
