Police in Stockton say a man wanted by the U.S. Marshals Service led officers on a chase Tuesday afternoon with a sleeping child in the back seat.

Officers with the Community Response Team tried to pull over 24-year-old Anthony Moore. Investigators say Moore didn’t stop, and ran from officers until he got to his Stockton home.

Moore was arrested without any further incident, police say. According to investigators, a search of Moore’s car revealed that a child had been sleeping in the back seat and a loaded handgun.

Moore was booked into jail on a number of charges, including armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon and child endangerment.
