When the Morgan Fire, driven by strong winds, raced down the east side of Mt. Diablo Monday night, dozens of homes and ranches were directly in its path.  But none were lost.

Firefighters from multiple agencies aggressively attacked the flames, preventing them from crossing to the east side of Morgan Territory Road.

As of Tuesday night, the fire had charred 3,243 acres and was 60 percent contained.  All evacuation orders were lifted and all roads that had closed due to the fire were reopened.
