Police Looking for Man Who Lit Fire Inside of Walmart

Surveillance footage of the man police who police believe lit the fire.


Police in Fairfield have released surveillance photos of a man they believe lit a fire inside of a Walmart early Monday morning.

According to a media release from the Fairfield Police Department, fire crews and police officers showed up to the N. Texas Street Walmart around 3:25 a.m. after a reported fire.

Witnesses told authorities that they had also heard explosions.

The store had to be evacuated due to the fire. A wicker basket had burned and several CO2 canisters were ruptured.

No one was hurt in the fire or during the evacuation, police say.

Police believe that the fire was intentionally set by someone inside the store. Surveillance photos of the suspect have been released by the police department.
