A curtain rod set and a book were the first customer orders to be sent out of the new Amazon fulfillment centers in Patterson and Tracy, respectively.
Both orders shipped this week, the company said Wednesday.
Combined, the two facilities employ 700 full-time workers. Amazon says it will add more seasonal jobs as the holidays approach.
The curtain rod set is bound for Florida, while the book, ‘Raise the Bar,’ is headed to Menlo Park. It’s unknown if the customers are obsessively checking the items’ tracking information.
