FOX announced Friday that it’s ordered another nine episodes of its new fall cop comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” bringing the show’s first season to 22 episodes.
The company’s chairman of entertainment, Kevin Reilly, noted the series’ success among critics and fans alike.
“It’s exciting to see that both critics and fans love ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ as much as we do,” Reilly wrote in a statement. “With Andy [Samberg] and Andre [Braugher] out in front of this incredible ensemble, it feels like this show is going to be around for a long time.”
FOX also announced that “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” will join “New Girl” for an hour-long comedy block following Super Bowl XLVIII.
