The BART strike is over after BART management and workers unions reached a tentative agreement late Monday night.

In spite of the strike being over, the union says negotiations over safety – which sank a potential deal late last week – will continue. A vote with union members is still needed to approve the deal.

Service for some trains will resume at 4 a.m. Tuesday, BART officials note. The rest of the trains will get rolling again Tuesday afternoon.
