Luxury homes are big sellers in Sacramento.
Broker associate Victoria Leas with Victoria’s Properties showed FOX40 News one home in the heart of Sacramento Tuesday morning.
“It’s 11,700 square feet,” she said. “[It] has its own barber shop, full spa, 1.8 acres, full lit tennis courts, basketball courts, elevator.”
There’s also a pool, waterfall, movie theater, gym, massage room, five bedrooms, and six bathrooms. Asking price – $3.5 million.
While it may not seem like luxury homes would be big sellers Leas points out, “We’re up 87 percent this year over last year.”
The people snapping up these homes aren’t just outside buyers looking for an investment.
“The last three top sales we’ve had in Sacramento have been local money,” said Leas. “Which is a really good sign for our economy.”
Now for those of us who can’t afford $3.5 million Leas says there’s something for buyers in every price range, “This is the best time to buy. We just passed the summer season; it was really competitive. Right now sellers want to sell their homes quickly they’ll work with buyers. Interest rates are low.”
If that isn’t enough incentive, here’s one last nudge. “(California Association of Realtors) is predicting housing prices are going to go up 6% next year, so why wait?”
