Three people were killed and several others were injured Tuesday morning after being hit by cars in separate incidents.

Just after 2 a.m., a woman along Stockton Boulevard in Elk Grove was struck and killed. Elk Grove Police say the driver did not stick around.

Another woman was killed about four hours later along Arden Way. The driver in this incident, according to police, stayed at the scene. Traffic along Arden was blocked for a few hours.

Not long after, a 13-year-old boy was hit by a car in Roseville but was able to walk away. Another teen was hit in front of Valley High School, who will also be O.K.

Police and traffic officials say that even though it sounds simple, they must remind everyone – both drivers and pedestrians – to be aware of their surroundings.
