An employee of the U-Save Smoke Shop has been arrested under suspicion of possessing illegal weapons, Sacramento Police say.

Police and code enforcement officers showed up at the Del Paso Boulevard store back on Sept. 10 to do an inspection. Community members had complained that the shop was selling brass knuckles – which are illegal under California law.

Investigators say they found several brass and metal knuckles up for sale during the inspection. They also found cane-swords – which are also illegal – on display.

Tuesday, investigators honed in and issued an arrested warrant for the store employee suspected of possessing the items. John Park, 51, was arrested and charged with possession of a cane sword and possession of metal knuckles.
