Stockton Police arrested a man Thursday that they believe caused a deadly crash Oct. 7 near Mariposa and Austin Road.

Officers arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. Two cars, a tractor trailer and a motorcycle were all involved, police say. The man riding the motorcycle, 41-year-old Anthony Gentile, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say the crash was caused by 25-year-old Matthew Luke. Luke had driven into oncoming traffic eastbound on Mariposa Road. He had a 0.05 percent blood-alcohol content three hours after the crash, according to police.

Luke was arrested Thursday.

Officers say Luke was booked for homicide, driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Police note that at the time of the accident, Luke was on probation for driving under the influence.
