He’s rescued a damsel in distress, foiled the Riddler’s bank robbery attempt and stole the hearts of the whole country – He’s BatKid.

Five-year-old Miles, of the Northern California community of Tulelake, donned a cape and cowl Friday as the streets of San Francisco were turned into Gotham City to fight crime. Miles has battled leukemia for years, and now that he’s reportedly in remission, he did battle with the likes of the Riddler and the Penguin.

Miles’ dream come true was made possible by the Bay Area chapter of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
