Police have arrested a Fairfield woman that is accused of stabbing both her husband and her 10-year-old son.
On Friday night, the Fairfield Police Department received a call about a disturbance along Scott Street. Lythia Bouie had allegedly attacked her husband and son with a steak knife.
The adult victim, Danny Couvson, was released from the hospital with minor stab wounds. The child is said to be in stable condition.
“It started over basically nothing. But with [Bouie], nothing is something,” Couvson said, describing how the incident began.
Bouie was booked in the Solano County Jail on two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of felony domestic violence, and one count of felony child endangerment.
Couvson, however, doesn’t think Bouie should be locked up.
“I believe that she needs to get more psychiatric help than she needs to be in jail, because jail is not really gonna do anything for her,” he said.
