Seven people were sent to the hospital Wednesday morning after a chemical spill on the Aerojet Rocketdyne campus in Rancho Cordova.

Investigators say while containers were being moved around 8:40 a.m., one was punctured, spilling 200 gallons.

Officials say the accident was caused by a pharmaceutical company, AMPAC Fine Chemicals, that rents space at the Aerojet Rocketdyne facility.

One person reportedly had direct exposure to the spill. Six others were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Metro Fire, Aerojet Rocketdyne and AMPAC are investigating the spill.

Emergency crews responded to the Areojet Rocketdyne campus on Nov. 19 after an explosion injured two people.

If the accident was at Ampac, then dont make the headline say Aerojet -Rocketdyne. This misleads people. Ampac is a separate company and has there own safety dept and should be accountable with there own negative publicity.
