Manteca Santa Shack Needs Some Improvements

Santa has been coming to Manteca for more than 50 years but this year is a bit different, as Saint Nick and the Manteca Downtown Merchant’s Association works to raise funds to build Santa a new house.

“Its warmer here than it is in the north pole no matter if its pouring down rain I love to do it because of the community atmosphere I love the people I love the children,” the man said.

Lately, though, his warmer Manteca home has fallen into a state of disrepair.

“We have some mold, dry rot problems, the roof at anytime can start leaking because it needs to be re-shingled,” Santa said.

Santa wants his new house to also be wheel chair accessible for children with disabilities.
