Police in Roseville have arrested a couple of real Grinches suspected of stealing packages from the front porch of homes.

Around 4 p.m. Dec. 12, according to Roseville Police logs, a man near San Simeon Drive and Cirby Way called police to report that someone had just swiped a package from his neighbor’s porch.

With a good description of the SUV, police were able to track down the suspects just about a half-mile away from the area. The suspects’ car was stuffed full of packages that never reached their intended destination, police say. Some of the packages even had the address labels torn off.

In total, three packages were identified as belonging to people in the Cirbyside area, while four more packages were identified as belonging to people in Folsom.

The two suspects – identified as 23-year-old Peyton Stout and 26-year-old Zachary Agnew – were arrested and booked on possessing stolen property and conspiracy charges.
