2 Hurt, 1 Dead in South Sacramento Shooting

SACRAMENTO–

A shooting near a preschool has left one person dead and two others injured, Sacramento Police say.

The shooting happened a little before 10 p.m. on Christmas near 29th Street and 69th Avenue.

Police say that two groups were involved in some kind of altercation that eventually escalated to the shooting. A total of three people were hurt in the shooting, police tell FOX40.

One person was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Thursday morning, police told FOX40 that he had succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are continuing to interview witnesses and have not commented on a motive for the shooting.

    Stay classy sacramento. People can't just fight likea man tthey'd rather spend their life in prison for shooting someone to avoid getting beat up. Those people are garbage rest in peace to the victim and there's a nice place in hell for the shooters.
