The man accused of breaking into a disabled woman’s home and raping her appeared in court Thursday to face four felony charges.

Abraham Arroyo, 21, was arrested Christmas Eve. He is charged with burglary, rape, rape during the commission of a burglary and robbery.

The victim, who did not disclose her name, called FOX40 Thursday afternoon.

“The day that this all happened, I was helping a neighbor,” she said. “I was really happy and content, and my world and everything changed after that.”

Investigators say Arroyo broke through a window to get inside the woman’s apartment.

“What happened to me should never happen to any woman,” the victim said.

Arroyo’s case was continued to Dec. 31.
