Stockton Police Find ‘Dismembered’ Body in Murder Investigation

Detectives from Stockton investigating a a homicide found human remains in the suspect’s vehicle at a Tuolumne County campground.

Officers say the homicide was first reported Thursday at a home along Mist Trail Drive where, according to investigators, there was evidence of a bloody crime scene.

Detectives were led to the Tuolumne County campground, where they reportedly found a human torso in a campfire. Police arrested 38-year-old Bryan Cook at the site.

Searching Cook’s car, more human remains were found. The victim has yet to be identified.
