Veteran Sacramento Kings announcer Scott Moak couldn’t be at Wednesday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies because of illness, but it’s allowed Jaime Coffee to make possible NBA history.

Coffee is believed to be the first-ever female PA announcer in league history.

“This opportunity to announce an NBA game is a dream come true for me,” a statement from Coffee read.

Coffee was the Sacramento Monarchs announcer from 2001 to 2009, and is currently announcing basketball games at Sacramento State.

Kings President Chris Granger tweeted his excitement over having Coffee back courtside.
