Neighbors Identify Woman Found Burned in Snodgrass Slough

A young woman, identified by a high school friend as Melissa, reportedly died at the hands of her live-in boyfriend Robert Enriquez, who is also the father of her baby boy.

A 30-year-old woman is officially identified as the woman found burned and abandoned by the levee south of Clarksburg last week.

The Sacramento County Coroner says the body is that of Melissa Clements.

Earlier this week, Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Enriquez for Clements’ murder.

Clements lived with Enriquez, he was the one who reported her missing. Investigators became suspicious after finding her body near the levee. She was so badly burned, deputies made a public plea for help identifying her by her jewelry.

Enriquez is currently being held in the Sacramento County Jail.
