A 15-year-old girl found herself in a scary situation after police say a man drove up to her and tried to pull her into his car.
The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. Monday near Holman Road and Bryant Drive, according to Stockton Police. Officers were told that the girl was walking along Holman road when the man pulled up next to her.
He asked the girl if she needed a ride and she said no, but the man then got out of his car and grabbed her, police say. He pulled her towards his car, but as he was opening the door she managed to get away.
The teen then ran home and called police.
Police say the suspect car was last seen heading east on Inspiration Drive. The car is described as a gray sedan with a white vertical sticker on the windshield. Police note that the suspect looks to be a middle-age, East Indian man with black hair and a thin mustache.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Stockton Police Department.
