STOCKTON-

Three siblings that ran away from their Stockton foster home are safe Wednesday.

It was a very different scene Tuesday morning, as police were searching for the three children.

“The three missing siblings from yesterday, they were brought in to the police department by biological family members,” Stockton Police Officer Joe Silva said.

Investigators said it was the 13-year-old boy, the oldest of the three, who was the “mastermind” and plotted their escape from the home. The youngest of the siblings is 3 years old.

The foster mom discovered they were missing by Tuesday morning.

“She pulled back their bed sheets, she noticed that they were stuffed with pillows,” Silva said.

Investigators are still trying to piece together where the siblings went after they left the foster home, until they met with family members the next day.

Silva said the family brought the children to the police station, soon after they somehow came in contact with the kids.

“That’s something our investigators are going to be looking into during the questioning of both the children and the family members,” he added.

The children are now back in the care of Child Protective Services. The family will not face any charges.
