Sacramento Police said Thursday night that they have arrested a man in the deadly Feb. 13 crash along Riverside Boulevard in Land Park.

Floyd Martin, 57, is charged with gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.

Investigators say Martin and another car were in a violent collision near Crocker/Riverside Elementary School. The driver in the other car was killed and her passenger was hospitalized.

Martin was arrested once doctors deemed him fit for incarceration, police say.

Neighbors in the area have told FOX40 that speed along Riverside, especially with an elementary school nearby, has been a concern. Investigators say speed played a role in the severity of the Feb. 13 crash.
