A Friday night house party ended in a homicide near River Bend Circle and Vallejo Way.
“We spent overnight here with our daughter because our car got stuck,” said David Aneo.
Aneo’s car was stuck in between layers of crime scene tape. He waited on his daughter’s front porch all night.
“He was shooting. I don’t know how many times but we heard one times only,” said Aneo.
Aneo said his entire family heard the gunfire ring out only feet behind his daughter’s apartment. The bedroom his three grandchildren sleep in, had a direct view of the crime scene.
“So when we opened the back door we saw the person lying there on the ground. Everybody was scared. Even me. I was really scared,” said Aneo.
Police say a 21-year-old male was shot multiple times inside of an apartment during a house party. The partygoers, the suspect, and the victim, police say, ran outside. The victim later died at an area hospital.
“A lot of people were outside looking at the incident,” said Aneo.
The crime scene tape was removed at around 11:30 Saturday morning, and residents at the apartment complex immediately flocked outside.
None of the people who lived in the apartment would talk to FOX40 on camera. One resident told us they did not know the victim. Another resident sat on the porch crying.
“There’s a lot of shootings over here so it’s dangerous,” said Aneo.
