A man recently arrested in connection with a sexual assault and attack of a coworker at a Sacramento County Subway is reportedly not connected to other sexual attacks near I-80 and Madison.

Kenneth Anderson was arrested last week, and faces charges after a Subway employee says she was attacked and tied up when she arrived at work.

Sacramento County Sheriff’s deputies ran Anderson’s DNA against evidence from three unsolved sexual assaults along the Madison Avenue and I-80 corridor.

Monday, investigators say the lab reports suggest Anderson is not connected to the series of assaults.

The three assaults, from September, December and January, all happened near the Madison Avenue and I-80 intersection. The victim in each case has been able to give a description of the attacker. In January, the suspect was reportedly driving a red, older model, 4-door car.

Detectives are asking anyone with information pertaining to the identity of this suspect or information related to these crimes, to please contact the Sheriff’s Sexual Assault Bureau at (916) 874-5070. Tip information may also be left anonymously at by entering the keyword ‘SSD’, or by calling (916) 874-TIPS (8477).
