Investigators: Kids Set Fire to Elementary School Classroom

Sacramento City Firefighters and Twin Rivers Police responded to North Avenue Elementary School Sunday evening after reports of a fire.

Firefighters say five juveniles were involved in setting fire to the outside of a classroom sometime after 7 p.m. The fire extended to inside the room, investigators said.

The fire was first reported by witnesses, neighbors and even a parent of one of the suspects, according to the Sacramento City Fire Department.
