Burglary of Sacramento Japanese Bakery Caught on Tape

For the first time in its 51-year history, Osaka Ya in downtown Sacramento was burglarized.

Owner Linda Nakatani says thief used a rock to bust through the window and counter just before 4 a.m. Thursday.

It was evident that the man had cased the bakery earlier.

“I’ve seen him around,” Nakatani said. “Hopefully, they’ll get him.”

The whole crime was caught on tape.

The burglar made off with hundreds of dollars – in coins.
