Three Arrested for Counterfiet Money in Placer County

Detectives with the Placer County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people yesterday for possessing and passing counterfeit money in Placer County.

Richard Allen Jaramillo, 48, of Lincoln, was arrested along with Elizabeth Anne Golden, 31, and Kane Andrew Marquardt, 32, of Auburn. The three were found as a result of an investigation of reports of fame money being circulated around Auburn, Colfax and other places in the county.

Jaramillo was charged with making and passing fictitious bills, conspiracy, possession of narcotics, being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammo and committing a felony while out on bail. Jaramillo is still in custody and is ineligible for bail.

Marquardt’s bail is set at $95,000 after being booked on charges of conspiracy and a felony warrant for evading police.

Golden was booked on charges of possessing fictitious bills and was released today on $10,000 bail.
