A wrong-way driver crashed head-on into a motorcyclist, killing him Friday morning.
Before noon, a man got onto Highway 160 at Richards Boulevard, but he made the turn too soon and ended up going northbound in the southbound lanes.
According to CHP, the elderly driver told them once he realized the mistake, he slowed down to turn around.
At that point he hit the motorcycle head-on. The motorcyclist, a man in his 50s, died.
CHP told FOX40 the area of the crash is a “blind corner” and the driver may not have seen the motorcyclist.
Officers are still in the area of Highway 160 and Richards Boulevard investigating the incident; evening traffic may be impacted.
